Carl Aasland Jerstad assists injured parties in all types of personal injury cases – work injuries, traffic injuries, patient injuries, violence etc.

He is a member of the Damages Committee (appointed by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, to draft standardized compensation measures for personal injuries), Leader of the Norwegian Bar Association’s Committee on Damages 2004-2010 and the Norwegian representative and board member of The Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL), 1998.

Haver possesses premium expertise, both nationally and internationally, on issues pertinent to damages for personal injury. We assist within all areas of liability including: traffic, leisure, criminal injury, etc., and we argue cases before the courts on a regular basis. We are represented in international associations for personal injury attorneys at law, and have contributed to the official Norwegian report NOU 20011: 16 on Standardised Damages for personal injury. We also provide counsel and procedural assistance to companies and employers, on issues such as work related injuries.

Haver provides commercial law counsel to commercial industries, private individuals, local municipalities and public authorities. Established in 1908, we are now amongst the largest locally owned law firms in and around the city of Stavanger. The firm currently employs 27 co-workers, whereof 21 are attorneys at law and associates. With nine co-workers at our Bryne based office we are the largest provider of commercial law services in the region of Jæren. Though situated in Stavanger and Bryne, we do undertake assignments nationwide. We are a member of Advocatia, which is a nationwide alliance of eight independent Norwegian law firms, represented by approximately 150 attorneys at law.

Local ownership provides us with local knowledge of, and insight to, the region’s commercial activities and its’ public administrative bodies. With more than a century worth of tradition, the firm has amassed considerable trust within, and outside of, the courts.
